Empty-Nesters
Everyone probably has read that home sales in Orange County and surrounding areas have slowed down in the last few months. Likewise price increases have slowed, too. At the same time, more houses are selling for over a million dollars. Total home sales fell by more than 8 percent in Orange County during the first half of the year. All of this data is interesting but it depends on who you are and where you want to live.
A family with kids in school? Parents or grandparents who want to live near their children and grandchildren? Maybe you're in one of my favorite categories of buyers these days -- "empty-nesters". Don't jump to conclusions. There are several varieties of "empty-nesters" and you may fit into one of them.
Some of them are people working past 65, enjoying life, not thinking about retiring and certainly not looking for a nice front porch for their easy chair. They no longer have to think about schools and backyards. But there are other "empty-nesters" (who don't think of themselves as one) who just want to change lifestyles.
No matter what kind of "empty-nester" you may be, there are a variety of choices out there worth exploring – communities, neighborhoods, and homes that fit any choice of lifestyle. Please contact me to assist with your exploration anywhere in Orange County.
